Day 1
Flight Medellín - Nuqui
Enjoy a short flight to Nuquí arriving around mid-morning.
Your transport will be waiting to collect you and take you to the dock to catch your boat to your eco-lodge.
A tourist tax of $30,000 Colombian Pesos will need to be paid on arrival.
Check In - Pacific Coast Eco-Lodge
Set in an amazing scene just a short stroll to the water's edge, this is an idyllic location to escape from the hustle and bustle of city life.
All your meals are included, along with a trip to some thermal pools, and a short and easy hike.
There are many optional activities and boat rides that can be enjoyed. Along with hikes, snorkeling, diving, fishing, cooking classes, massages, and aromatherapeutic relaxation.
There is internet here, but not fastest or most reliable. You'll also have a patchy phone signal, so, providing you have data on your phone you can still check those messages if you really have to!
Welcome to Your Beachfront Ecolodge
On arrival at Nuquí, you'll be collected from the airport and taken directly to the marina for your boat ride to your home for the next 3 nights. Set in a fantastic scene just a short stroll to the water's edge, this is an idyllic location to escape city life's hustle and bustle.
NB A Tourist Tax of $30.000 Colombian Pesos per person will need to be paid before leaving the airport.
You'll be arriving late morning and have time to organize your things before enjoying a wonderful fresh lunch.
Following lunch, you'll be going out in search of some of the many humpback whales that visit every year between the months of May and November (best months are July to October). Please remember that occasionally whales may only be seen at a distance.
Following this wonderful experience you'll return to the eco-lodge to relax and enjoy this beautiful setting.
On your return to dry land, you can enjoy an easy 30 min walk to the Cascada del Amor (The waterfall of Love) where you can enjoy a refreshing swim in this peaceful location.
Snorkeling, Diving, Surfing, Fishing, and Paddleboard equipment can be hired from a dive or surf center a short walk from the hotel.
Day 2
Another Day in Paradise, Whales, and Thermal Pools
You'll wake to the wonderful relaxing sounds of the ocean and the native birds singing at the start of another beautiful Pacific Coast day!
After breakfast, you'll be off in search of some of those amazingly wonderful humpback whales and their baby that will be swimming nearby. You'll be enjoying 2-3 hours out on the ocean before heading back to the eco-lodge for some me-time followed by another fresh lunch.
Following lunch, you'll be walking along the beach for approximately an hour until you come to some wonderful thermal hot springs ($15,000 peso entrance fee not included). Once here you'll soak in the pools and relax in this amazing dream-like setting. You'll then venture back to the eco-lodge in time for a beautiful sunset and another wonderful dinner.

Day 3
Waterfalls, a Panela factory, and a Cooking Class in Paradise
You'll be waking once again to the soothing sounds of the waves and the singing birds searching for their morning meal.
Following another wonderful breakfast you'll be off on a hike up the Terco River to a beautiful waterfall. Starting with a 30 min walk up the beach, you'll come across the entrance of the Terco River. Walking along the bed of this beautiful river you'll enter the jungle. The sounds of the beach will slowly fall silent as the sounds of the birds and insects take over. After walking for another 30 minutes or so another sound will start to take over. This time of water splashing on rocks and into a pool of water before it streams down into the river you've been following. Taking a well-earned break you'll enjoy a refreshing swim before heading back along the path you came towards the ocean and back to the eco-lodge in time for a wonderful lunch.
Following a superb fresh lunch you'll venture off on the "Ruta del Viche." This is a tour to a local trapiche (Panela factory) where you'll learn about the process of making this brown golf, and also how to make a traditional Viche. This is an alcoholic beverage made from sugarcane. It's absolutely delicious, and 100% natural.
Next, it's time to head back to the eco-lodge and jump into the kitchen for a cooking class like no other. You'll be learning the tips and tricks passed down from generation to generation to create some of the most wonderful-tasting meals you'll ever have the joy of eating. Using the fresh ingredients ground around the eco-lodge you'll become a master of this dish, and share it with friends back home.
To finish up your day, you'll be dining by candle light and enjoying the ocean breeze for one last night before falling asleep to the sounds of the ocean waves crashing gently on the shore down below.

Day 4
Peaceful Pacific Morning
You'll be waking once again to the soothing sounds of the waves and the singing birds searching for their morning meal.
You'll have time for a quick swim or a short hike, and another wonderful breakfast before taking a boat back to Nuquí and on to the airport for your flight back to Medellín.
