DAY 1

Arrival in Los Llanos

Collected from Yopal, you'll head to the stunning homestead in San Luís de Palenque, Casanare. You'll stay in its fantastic artisanal bamboo accommodation, surrounded by nature, providing a complete break from the city chaos and allowing you to enjoy a magical experience amidst abundant natural beauty.

Following a tasty traditional lunch cooked with the unique flavors of the llanera region. You'll be off on a horseback ride in search of wildlife. Along the way, you may encounter howler monkeys, numerous bird species, and small caimans. While we can't guarantee spotting every animal, the area is rich in natural abundance, making success quite probable.

Later on, we'll tour a small museum on the homestead, discovering the archaeological findings of an indigenous culture that once inhabited this area, leaving a lasting mark on the passage of time.

As night falls, engage in a storytelling session featuring myths and legends of the Colombian plains. Conclude the day with a delectable dinner, marking the final night at this lodging—yet the adventure continues.

Next, you'll enjoy a delightful cup of criollo chocolate and experience a cocoa face mask, both crafted and processed right here at the homestead, or you'll an artisan workshop on traditional crafts from this region, using horsehair and leather.

Following this, you'll be transported to your new hato for the next two nights. Here you'll meet a wild anteater, who was rescued and bottle-fed as a baby. He now has become a regular on this property, and will probably be a constant presence throughout your stay. Prepare to encounter this magnificent beauty!
